Detail:

Waltham Forest Council's No Space for Hate is a community-led programme to tackle and address hate.

We want to empower the community to stop incidents happening in the first place by providing residents with the tools on how to safely intervene when an incident is taking place, supporting the victims and making Waltham Forest a safer borough for everyone.

Known as 'Bystander Intervention' training, we want trainees to become No Space for Hate Ambassadors, equipped to teach others how to become allies to those experiencing hate and hostility.

The training will give ambassadors:

  • An understanding of hate and hostility and the impact it has on individuals and communities.
  • An awareness of the factors that encourage or stop people from intervening and showing solidarity.
  • Practical skills in how to intervene in a way that is effective and safe.

Attendance at all 3 sessions is required
